Hemnes municipality is a medium-sized municipality in Nordland with about 4500 inhabitants. The municipality has over 400 man-years spread over 600 people. The municipality provides services at the municipal level with special emphasis on growing up with school and kindergarten and care services. In this project, at least 40 professionals and about 300 young people will be involved in the project to a greater or lesser degree. A core of about 10 decision-makers, 20 employees and 20 young people will be closely linked to the project.
Hemnes municipality has a very good involvement work and a pioneering municipality with many projects within the theme of participation and services for young people. Hemnes was in 2019 named Norway’s best upbringing municipality of Unicef. The municipalities also have good experience with project work with real results. Examples of this are strategic partnerships, where you have real results that are continued in daily operations. We have professionals, young people and decision-makers with good competence in project work, youth work, knowledge of and access to decision-making processes.
